Alcance Media Group‘s Founder/CEO Chris’ path to Hispanic culture wasn’t obvious growing up in Midland, Michigan. Today Chris leads a multicultural staff andtravels frequently to Latin America.

Graduating with a BA in Communications from Michigan State University, Chris headed west, first to the mountains of Lake Tahoe, and eventually to San Francisco where he gained management experience at National Car Rental and OpenTable, not to mention a penchant for surfing.

Inspired by trips to Colombia and Chile, Chris decided to live and work in Latin America. He went to Antigua, Guatemala to learn Spanish, then on to Santiago Chile where he first worked at Business News Americas, eventually founding “Barrio Chile”, a local media company.

Returning to San Francisco in 2005, Chris entered the digital advertising sales realm with Trancos Inc., then was brought in to Consorte Media to lead the creation of their Hispanic ad network. In 2007 he founded Alcance Media Group, which has become a leader in connecting brands with the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets.
