Born in Managua, Nicaragua, during a politically tumultuous time, Daniela has a deep interest in foreign policy and international relations. Her journey took her from Managua to San Francisco in 1989 and then to UC Santa Cruz where she got her degree in Politics.
Before joining Alcance, Daniela worked as a Congressional Aide for one of the most progressive members of Congress, where she focused on Latin America and issues affecting Latino communities.
In her role as an Executive Assistant at Alcance, she gets to combine her interests, passions, and obsessive need to organize things into a job she loves.
Additionally, Daniela loves to indulge in foods that are considered unhealthy, including carnitas, nachos, cheeseburgers, and pizza. In her free time, she likes to bake things and knit scarfs.
